The altarpiece itself was destroyed by fire in 1615. The study survived — and became more famous than the painting it was made for. Durer used it to work out the position of a figure of an apostle in the centre panel. The drawing is now at the Albertina Museum in Vienna.

About this diptych

Format: Two decks mounted side by side, each standing vertically — one continuous composition across 45 x 85 cm

Material: Grade-A 7-ply Canadian maple — the same wood used in professional skate decks

Print: Gallery-quality UV print — no glass needed

Mounting hardware not included — purchase separately

Ships from Berlin — worldwide delivery in protective packaging

See all two-panel diptych sets or three-panel triptychs (70 x 85 cm).

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0968/5028/0785/files/2_5e135304-5a78-4a9c-8eab-dad9c614f0f3.png?v=1762702687
