jacques-louis-david-napoleon-crossing-the-alps-skateboard-deck-triptych-wall-art
David Napoleon Crossing the Alps Skateboard Triptych

Jacques-Louis David painted Napoleon Crossing the Alps in 1801, one of five versions he made of the same composition. Napoleon commissioned the painting and asked to be shown calm, on a fiery horse. In reality, Napoleon crossed the Alps on a mule. David took artistic licence: the final image shows Napoleon on a rearing white stallion pointing upward, with the names NAPOLEON, HANNIBAL, and KAROLUS MAGNUS carved into the rocks below — placing him in the line of great conquerors. The Versailles version is the most famous; others are in Vienna, Berlin, and Charlottenburg.

About this triptych

Format: Three decks mounted side by side, each standing vertically — one panoramic composition across 70 x 85 cm

Material: Grade-A 7-ply Canadian maple — the same wood used in professional skate decks

Print: Gallery-quality UV print — no glass needed

Mounting hardware not included — purchase separately

Ships from Berlin — worldwide delivery in protective packaging

See all three-panel triptychs or two-panel diptychs (45 x 85 cm).

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0968/5028/0785/files/55_90034351-6f22-4fa9-9a3c-df7089ce1685.png?v=1762869665
https://skateboardart.es/en/products/jacques-louis-david-napoleon-crossing-the-alps-skateboard-deck-triptych-wall-art
